A reputation for film

Sawston Village College has a reputation for producing award-winning films.  Pupils’ films have won national and international awards, have been shown across the globe, and even in the International Space Station.

The school’s interest in film developed with the return of regular screenings to Sawston Cinema, established in 2008 at the Marven Centre, a building on the school site originally built as a cinema, Spicer’s Theatre, in 1932. See www.sawstoncinema.org.uk for more information.
