Science in Sierra Leone
The Science Department recently donated equipment to the Kate McGrath School for Girls in Sierra Leone via the Friends of Freetown charity. You can imagine how delighted they were then to see a short film of a chemistry demonstration using some of the equipment they had sent and to hear from the Chair of Governors that of the 29 girls who had met university entry requirements, 16 were Science students.
