Our senior pupils

The Senate is a group of Year 11 pupils who have been appointed following a rigorous application process.  The roles are: Heads of Senate, Deputy Heads of Senate, Senate Ambassadors, and Chairs of the various Pupil Forums: Ethos, Eco/Animal,  Arts, Equality/Diversity, Sports, Wellbeing and International.  This group represents the voice of the pupils here at Sawston, meeting weekly with the Assistant Principal to discuss views, ideas and initiatives. The Forum Chairs meet with the other pupils in their forum groups each half term and use this time to plan and deliver projects.  Some examples include: organising charity events, investigating what makes good teaching and learning (and feeding back to staff), leading our Arts Week events, raising awareness of global issues, and much more.
