Year 9 ESFA National Cup – Round 1

Well done to our Year 9 Boys!

Well done to our Year 9 Boys, who won their first game of the English Schools National Cup against St Ivo school on 18 September 2024. The department’s first home game of the year saw a win for the boys with some great plays across the match. 

There was plenty of attacking and defending play across the  first half of the match, with the score finishing on 0-0. Some fantastic plays from Rohan Everson and Oliver Prior, kept the team’s possession at important moments. 

Moving into the second half and after a pep talk from the squad, there was a positive switch in attitude which led to plenty of attacking opportunities. The ball was worked around the team, generating plenty of class play. Eventually, Taddy Fouda took advantage of a brilliant assist by Rohan, leading to a 1-0 lead.

The boys continued their class performance with lots of dominating play with Keanan Burns and Oscar Karpuk blocking a St Ivo opportunity. Harry Haynes had a stand out performance in his appearance. Well done to all involved and good luck in the next round!
