Year 7 Boys Football
Fixture against Bottisham
Congratulations to the Year 7 Boys who, on their first fixture for Sawston, won 6-1 against Bottisham Village College. A fantastic first goal by Archie King to get Sawston up 1-0 which was quickly coupled with another from Sawston with some lovely play amongst the midfield to support. A 2nd by Archie made it 3-0, and a strong lead was established. A goal by Bottisham gave a 3-1 scoreboard as we entered into the second half of the match. William Crump, outside the box, pelted the ball top left to quickly get one back for the team again, extending our lead against Bottisham. Shortly after, again, Crump rocketed the ball from outside the box to hit the crossbar and go in. King scored a third, giving himself a hat trick for the day, a sensational contribution to the team. The boys ended up winning 6-1 and some stand out performances from Dima Sears and Joel Mapulanga. Well done boys! We look forward to our next fixture in the County Cup.
