Year 11 Boys Football

Fixture against Northstowe

Congratulations to our Year 11 boys who have won their first fixture in the district cup against Northstowe Academy on 12 February 2024. 

A slow first half kept the boys at 0-0 with plenty of momentum going back and forward between the teams. Going into the second half, we saw Ollie Maltby knock the ball over the keeper to get the boys on the scoreboard. An ecstatic reaction from the team put them in a great headspace ready for another goal delivered into the net from Tommy Gilmore. Some strong attacking plays made from Ben Page and Ben Journeaux kept the tempo high to open up Rafael Bidston for a goal for Sawston. Finishing up with a second goal, we had Tommy smash the ball towards the goal which ricocheted off their defender into the net. 

A very successful first game of the year. Well done to all involved. We look forward to your next game against Swavesey Village College.
