Year 10 Football
Fixture (13/11/2025)
Sawston Year 10 boys faced a replayed fixture against Impington Village College at home, leaving the pitch with a 5-1 win.
The first half saw the team playing comfortably, moving the ball around the pitch with, Finley Crossan snatching the ball away from the keeper to score a fantastic goal. Seconds later we had Max Crump drift the ball past the keeper after a brilliant through ball from the midfield to put us up 2-0 over half time.
The second half was strong, with a top contribution from Tristan Williams assisting Rohan Everson with a goal, giving a comfortable lead for the boys. With positivity flying around the field the boys grew in confidence, leading to Oscar Karpuk contributing to a goal after a header, some deflections and a knocked ball into the net. Finally, a beautiful assist from Luke Warner left Dylan Cootes on goal to smash it past the keeper, the cherry on top of his performance throughout the match.
Player of the match goes to Keanan Burns for his sportsmanship and honesty and Dylan Cootes for his unwavering workrate. We wish them the best of luck in the next round of the district cup.
Thank you also to the large number of pupils who came to support the home game.
It was amazing to see so many attending to watch.
