Fixture Against Bottisham

A massive well done to our U16 A & B netball teams who both won their debut netball matches on 24 January 2024.

In the B team match, Sawston took an early lead against Bottisham. After some incredible accuracy under the posts from Libby, Annie and TJ, and tight defence from Natalie, the team grew their goal difference, finishing 23-12. Our stand out performer, receiving Player Of the Match (POM) went to Keira Collinson for her defensive rebounds, intercepts and constant pressure on her attacker.

The A team also played a brilliant match, against a fast and powerful opponent. Patience was the key in this match; our ability to remain composed under pressure and slow down the play to execute quality decisions led Sawston to the victory with a score of 27-11. Our stand out performer, receiving Player Of the Match (POM) went to Emma Quinnell for her patient captaincy and outstanding accuracy under the hoop: she sank almost every shot she took.
