U14 Girls Fixture Report

11 October 2022: A fantastic win from our girls against St Ivo School, which gets them into the third round of the English Schools National Cup.

A 2-1 finish with a brace of goals from Libby Unwin demonstrates the hard work and determination of the girls. With a larger pitch than their first fixture, the girls took the first 15 minutes to gain the lead with a fantastic finish from Libby. As the game progressed, the girls made strong attempts on goal, which were well defended by the opposition. Leading into the second half, the girls were quick to gain another due to a brilliant piece of play between Mia Diaz and Molly Smith which led to a deflection towards Libby, who knocked it into the net for her brace. Ines Lao-Sirieix made a series of incredible saves that prevented some excellent shots on target from St Ivo. Overall it was a fantastic game, with great performances from all of those that played. Well done, and good luck going into Round 3!
