Preparing for the Bake off
This week pupils came to the Food department for help sessions in preparation for the Geography Bake Off.
In the first session they made tasty Victoria sponge, which they decorated with edible flowers from the food department allotment. During the second session they used different types of icing and improved their piping skills. To round off the sessions, they attempted a technical challenge, making a sheep from rollout icing. Great fun was had by all.
All pupils are invited to enter the Geography Bake Off.
Use half term to develop your cake design. The theme this year is our island, and we would like cakes that represent iconic features or landscapes of Britain.
The competition is on Friday, 4 November, and cakes should be placed in T7 before registration for judging.
