A fantastic set of results on Wednesday this week saw plenty of goals from both the boys and girls 7-a-side football team. Split across four quarters, the teams demonstrated excellent teamwork and communication across freezing conditions and flurries of snow.

The boys saw a 6-5 win against Bottisham Village College with goals from Rohan Everson (2), Felix Hincks (1), Finley Crossan (2) and Torin Jones with the winning goal in the last 3 minutes. Taking the first quarter steady, the boys began to understand their team dynamics with goals scored back and forth, a very even match. Some fantastic saves from Maison Pacey kept the boys in good stead throughout.

The girls finished their fixture against Bottisham with a 3-3 draw. Some great goals scored by Keira Hancock (1), Natalia Smith (1) and Zahara Payne (1) saw them applying plenty of pressure against their opposition. A special mention to Freya Larkins and Jasmine Green for their fantastic passing and movement around the pitch to support the girls. All girls had high perseverance and determination to get themselves a win, with some unlucky chances preventing them from the win.

An amazing result for all in their first fixture. We look forward to their next with some larger teams!
