ITALIAN ADVANCED AND CONVERSATION Tuesday 20.00-21.30
COURSE DETAILS AND AIMS:
The advanced and conversation course aims to extend the knowledge of
the Italian language and culture as well as to refine the four language
skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. To boost up authentic
pronunciation and intonation and to enrich vocabulary and grammar to
converse and write with ability and confidence. To stimulate reading and
listening skills to advance the speed of understanding of the Italian
language. Conversation and discussion on various range of topics and
current news are part of this course and conducted as far as possible in
the target language.
SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
The advanced and conversation course is suitable for those students
who have completed the three terms at Intermediate level.
MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR FIRST CLASS:
Pen, notebook and two textbooks: Read and Think Italian by the editors
of Think Italian! magazine; Italian Grammar Drills (2nd or 4th edition) by
Paola Nanni-Tate (both books available also from Amazon)
ABOUT YOUR TUTOR: CRISTINA NUGENT
I am an Italian native speaker and a qualified MFL tutor. I currently
teach Italian to a broad spectrum of abilities and at a variety of levels
including GCSE, A level and adult evening classes.
