GUITAR FOR BEGINNERS - TUESDAY 19:15-21:15
COURSE DETAILS AND AIMS:
This course is designed for the complete beginner who has little or no experience playing a musical instrument. Learners will be introduced to techniques in reading music and tablature, playing chords, rock riffs and progressions to well known songs along with technical exercises and scales to help play improvised solos.

None
MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR FIRST CLASS:
One working guitar, (classical, steel string or electric) and a copy of The Guitarist’s Way Book 1 by Peter Nuttall and John Whitworth.

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR: JAMES FREE
James Free is a multi instrumentalist and gained a BA Hons Music degree at Anglia Ruskin University along with PTLLS teaching qualifications also from Cambridge. He has gone on to teach in a variety of settings including schools and adult education for over 25 years. In addition, James has also spent many years as a performing musician touring the UK, Europe and the United States.
