CREATIVE CURRIES - MONDAY 18.00-20.00
COURSE DETAILS AND AIMS:
Indian food doesn’t have to be ‘hot,’ and preparing it is not difficult.
Come and learn how to prepare well known dishes with practical
experience and gain confidence using various herbs and spices. Each
dish will be explained and a step-by-step demonstration will be given for
you to watch so that you can prepare your own dishes using your own
ingredients. The four week menu includes rice dishes, fish, chicken,
Indian breads, and snacks, although ingredients can be substituted to
suit your dietary requirements.
SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
All are welcome, no experience is needed.
MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR FIRST CLASS:
You will be required to bring your own ingredients, an apron, a sharp
knife and suitable containers (with lids) to take your prepared food
home. An ingredients/equipment list will be sent to you before the
course starts.
ADDITIONAL COURSE COSTS (IF APPLICABLE):
The cost of the ingredients, typically £16-£18.
FURTHER INFORMATION:
If you have any special dietary requirements, you can use suitable
alternative ingredients.
ABOUT YOUR TUTOR: RAMA RAM
Rama S Ram came from Southern India and has been settled in Great
Britain for the last 54 years. She has 40 years experience of tutoring
Indian cookery and cultural aspects in various life long learning Adult
Education Colleges. She was a residential tutor at Denman College.
