A TASTE OF INDIA Monday 19.00-21.00

COURSE DETAILS AND AIMS:
India is a very vast country. Variety is the ‘Pulse of India’. The food is
different from state to state! Indian food is spicy but not always ‘hot’.
The real curry is aromatic with subtle blends of herbs and spices. Come
and learn to cook delicious Indian food with practical experience.

SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
All are welcome and no experience is needed. You should have an
interest in learning about spices and herbs and knowing how and when
to use them to achieve home cooked food with subtle flavours.

MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR FIRST CLASS:
You will be required to bring your own ingredients, an apron, a sharp
knife and suitable containers (with lids) to take your prepared food
home. An ingredients/equipment list will be sent to you before the
course starts.

ADDITIONAL COURSE COSTS (IF APPLICABLE):
The cost of the ingredients (typically £12-14)

FURTHER INFORMATION:
If you have any special dietary requirements, you can use suitable
alternative ingredients.

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR:  RAMA RAM
Rama S Ram came from Southern India and has been settled in Great
Britain for the last 54 years. She has 40 years experience of tutoring
Indian cookery and cultural aspects in various life long learning Adult
Education Colleges. She was a residential tutor at Denman College –
Oxford for many years and is also a guest speaker for many WI
federations.
