COURSE DETAILS AND AIMS:
Indian street food is very popular, not only in India but all over the world! In India it is known as ‘Fast Food’ locally it is called ‘Chaat’. It is prepared and eaten on the street. It is very tasty and tangy and fun to cook, using a few unusual ingredients, which are now readily available in shops. Learn to cook with practical experience and enjoy authentic Indian food in the comfort of your own home. Each dish will be explained and a step-by-step demonstration will be given for you to watch so that you can prepare your own dishes using your own ingredients.

SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
Suitable for anyone interested in learning to cook traditional Indian food.

MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR FIRST CLASS:
You will be required to bring your own ingredients, an apron, a sharp knife and suitable containers (with lids) to take your prepared food home. An ingredients/equipment list will be sent to you before the course starts.

ADDITIONAL COURSE COSTS (IF APPLICABLE):
The cost of the ingredients, which you will need to supply yourself.

FURTHER INFORMATION:
If you have any special dietary requirements, you can use suitable alternative ingredients.

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR:  RAMA S RAM
Rama S Ram comes from Southern India and has been settled in the UK for the last 54 years. She has 40 years experience of tutoring Indian cookery and cultural aspects in various life long learning Adult
Education Colleges. She was a residential tutor at Denman College – Oxford for many years and is also a guest speaker for many WI federations.
