WILLOW PLANT SUPPORT WIGWAMS – SATURDAY 07/03/2026 (AM SESSION) (SPRING TERM)
WILLOW PLANT SUPPORT WIGWAMS - SATURDAY 07/03/2026 (09:30-12:30)
COURSE DETAILS AND AIMS:
We will use willow as a material to make a plant support wigwam for your home or garden.
SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
No qualifications are required, however you do need reasonable dexterity and good strength in your hands in order to be able to manipulate the thicker willow that is used for making plant support wigwams. Most of the work needs to be done standing up, so you need to be comfortable standing for a couple of hours. Please let me know if you are hard of hearing, so I can ensure you hear everything you need to fully participate in the course.
MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR FIRST CLASS:
All materials and equipment will be supplied.
FURTHER INFORMATION:
Willow is a natural material and has been stored in a garage and soaked in an outdoor tank. Please wear older clothes (e.g. gardening clothes) to the course or bring an apron. Solid shoes please (no sandals). Wash hands before eating after handling the willow.
