COURSE DETAILS AND AIMS:
Guitar for Beginners 1 is for complete beginners with no or very little musical experience and knowledge. The course lasts over the 3 terms of the academic year with the name ‘Guitar for Beginners 2’ being given for the Spring term and ‘Guitar for Beginners 3’ for the summer term. As learners progress through the course they will build up a repertoire of well known song progressions and riffs, develop their ability to read music and tablature, exercise a wide range of techniques for playing various styles of guitar music and incorporate a greater understanding of music theory.
